Context:
Arris Composites was transitioning from EVT to production for its carbon fiber bicycle spokes scale up for the (Specialized Bicycles) Roval Alpinist CLX III wheel. There was only a couple of months available before hardware was needed to hit customer spokes deliveries.
Problem Statement:
Design a bench-top tensioner to be used in production of spokes to replace use of Instron.
Solution:
Designed, validated, procured and brought-up a vertical spoke tension preloader.
